Prepare Your Quilt

  • Prep your top

Press well so seams are flat

Trim excess threads from your quilt top

Mark the top of the quilt with a pinned note

Please make sure your quilt is square

*Additional fees will be charged for tops not squared

  • Prep backing & batting

Batting and bottom should be 5” larger than your quilt top on all four sides - example, if your quilt is 50 x 60, your backing should be 60 x 70

Backing should be pressed well so seams are nice and flat

Please trim excess threads from your backing - especially dark threads behind light fabrics

*Additional fees will be charged if backing and batting are less than 5” smaller than quilt tops

  • Pack & Ship it

Keep your quilt in three separate layers - top, batting and batting (do not baste together)

Please pack your quilt in a waterproof bag to protect against any potential water damage

We recommend sending your quilt via the USPS using a flat rate box which includes tracking and insurance. The mailing address will be included in your quilt submission confirmation email.
